Today (30th September 2025) we donned our hi-viz vests, shovels and wheelbarrows as we headed out to volunteer at the Children’s Adventure Farm Trust (CAFT).
CAFT is a fantastic local charity providing life-changing experiences for children who are disadvantaged or living with disabilities. Their incredible site in the Cheshire countryside is a safe haven where children can play, explore, and make memories. Keeping such a large outdoor space thriving, however, takes a huge amount of time and energy – and that’s where our team was only too happy to pitch in.
A day of hard graft!
From the moment we arrived, it was all hands on deck. Armed with shovels, wheelbarrows, and plenty of determination, we tackled a range of groundwork tasks – from felling overgrown sections, to clearing paths, to tidying up outdoor areas.
It wasn’t just about muscle and mud, though. Working together outside of the office gave our team a real buzz – a chance to bond in a completely different environment, while doing something genuinely useful for the community. .
Thank you to CAFT
At HBV Group, we’re committed to making a difference not only through the work we do in housing and care, but also by giving back to the communities we serve. Volunteering at CAFT was a small way for us to support an organisation that brings so much joy and opportunity to children who need it most.
We left tired, muddy, and a little sore – but also incredibly proud.
A huge thank you to the CAFT team for welcoming us and showing us the impact that even a day’s volunteering can have. We’re already looking forward to coming back and doing more in the future.
