Bespoke design with tenants
During the design process, Central Bedfordshire Council customers were instrumental in helping with the design and look for the bedrooms, bathrooms and garden areas. They also offered input on how it should be decorated and also advised on the communal sensory gardens and assistive technology to help people become as independent as possible, whilst living in a safe and caring environment.
Quality accommodation
Fully accessible development and design ethos means that we worked closely with our architects, construction team and the commissioning team to ensure that the development was perfectly suited to the tenants who were identified to live in the new development. It's a place where people are proud to live.
Technology enabled development
HBV Group has placed strong emphasis on ensuring the scheme, which consists of two buildings on the site, exceeds building regulation requirements for thermal performance and energy usage achieving a betterment in C02 emissions of 12%
The development features solar panels for electricity generation, air source heat pump technology which repurposes heat from inside the building via the ventilation system to heat the hot water and longwave infrared heating systems.
The development also incorporates wastewater heat recycling and a thermally efficient envelope. These measures combined mean the development achieves an EPC A, and the result is a direct benefit to tenants who will experience much reduced energy costs to comparable dwellings.
Assistive technology is tailored to suit the needs of each person and includes an intercom and CCTV.
